New steps in European cooling project

According to the The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), 2020 will go into the books together with 2014 as the hottest year since the measurements started. Cities must anticipate weather extremes such as heat. The Cool Towns project, led by Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, helps municipalities with this. A recent step is a practical measurement protocol with which municipalities can map out the heat problem themselves and measure the effectiveness of measures.
